How to Evaluate a Nepal Manpower Agency

Before engaging a manpower agency in Nepal, review at least these five areas:

  1. Licence status. Confirm the agency holds an active licence from the Department of Foreign Employment (DoFE). A licence number alone is not proof of good standing — ask when it was last renewed.
  2. Track record by destination. An agency experienced in Gulf deployments is not automatically equipped for European corridors. Ask for deployment history specific to your target country.
  3. Infrastructure. Interview facilities, trade-testing centres and orientation programs indicate an agency can screen and prepare candidates at scale, not just source names.
  4. Communication responsiveness. A slow or vague response during initial enquiries is a strong predictor of how a contract will be managed.
  5. References. Ask for at least one other employer reference who has completed a deployment cycle with the agency, not just started one.
