Recruitment agencies sending Nepali workers abroad for employment are required to hold a licence issued by the Department of Foreign Employment (DoFE), under Nepal's Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security.

A licence number is not, by itself, proof that an agency is currently in good standing — licences can lapse, be suspended, or be under review.
